1g upper IC pipe on 2g for BOV

I have done a bit of searching for the past 30 minutes and haven't found a straight answer yet. I'm getting a 1g bov on craigslist and the guy said he'd give me the upper IC pipe so I don't need to buy an adapter to mount it on my 2g.

If he gives me that pipe will it fit in place of my current rubber piping and work?

if you relocate the fuse box it will work it will still hit the hood it much easier to buy the adapter.

Yea I asked a friend and I figure I'll just get the adapter..
