1990 4g63 fully built CRANKWALK?

okay so Ive been building up my 1990 4g63 n/a motor. All aftermarket sweatness new everything nothing old beside crank, rockers, and cams. Had machine shop fix me up. I put it all together. ran it once and after boost nothing no power at all. messed with timing for ever and never can get it to advance stays in retard. Next ticking noise from lifters but theyre new 3rd gen revised lifters. (only after warm -up). Can get car in gear but I have to force it into 1st gear. After warm up clutch is light and I have a SBR 3000 hd Clutch kit installed?? If clutch pedal is pushed in car drops from 1200rpms to 4ish and sometimes dies. Engine misses but everything reads okay nothing was wrong with anything before also. Its something I did so. Heres what I think it is. When i had my crank balanced and polished I got my crank back without my timing belt gear. Then I found it under my seat the next day. They didn't balance it right I think. Will that be my problem there?? Also the motor has only 10 miles on it. Think it did any damage to the other parts or can I just drop in a new crank and main/rod bearings as well?? help me out here please.

you said after you ran it for the first time, the car went lifeless? Do you think you may have put the timing belt off a tooth? or mabye you skipped time on the belt? it doesnt sound as serious as crankwalk, you would hear some major thrashing if that were the case because the symptoms are too bad.. cross your fingers..

I want to think it is timing but we messed with timing about 10 times after we boosted for first time timing was of about 1 tooth then we adjusted it again and the car went with no boost and fell flat on its face cheack timing and it was 180 deg out somehow. then adjusted it again one tooth off then did it again and was dead on and car still has no boost and we cannot set base time. changed sensors all new timing components. car has problems like dies when clutch is pressed in and hard to shift, no binding in tranny, ticks with revised lifters and misses. ohh and strange bearing noise in front when driving slow.

WOW. So many issues with timing. Why don't you do a compression test and see if the valve train is in good order and then post back with results.

ok if your timing was a 180 degrees out, would that mean your pistons are slapping your valves?

we did do a compression test and came with 169 across the board with a 10 mile engine.

thats not bad at all, with 10 miles though your rings havent been fully set yet, give it some time and i wouldnt doubt those numbers would come up

valves shouldn't be bent. only time valves get bent is if crank still turns and valves do not then they get bent. but I see what your saying about slapping valves. Im going to pull oil pan today if I get a chance before dark.

not necessarily, your valves are being run by your cams, which is being run by your timing belt.

if you ran the car with the timing being off the cams could be pushing the valves down when they should be comming up, if that makes sence

would bent valves cause the car to almost die when clutch is pulled? and cause the clutch pedal with new slave and master with new pivot to feel soft with a 3500 hd clutch kit from slowboy?

well my thrust bearings are shot. I am now the unproud owner of a crankwalking 6 bolt. That suck oh well. New crank and bearings. Can you Remove the crank while the motor is still in engine bay??
