Would the interior shifter bushings work with the 420a manual transmission with a Short shifter?

I can't really tell if they're different. Maybe someone else can confirm that?

Have you been able to confirm the difference between the 90 model year and 91+ model year? What all is offered for a 1990 that has confirmed fitment?
