- The car started out as my dad’s car, he’s had it my entire life. He let my step mom drive it once and the water pump went out, she blew the motor. It sat in a shed for about 8 years or so. When I got to high school he gave me the car but said it was my responsibility to buy a motor and fix it. Two years and $2000 later I bought a rebuilt long block from KarKing, just in time to start junior year of high school. I spent the first few years just trying to keep up with the maintenance, I was breaking down for one reason or another every couple months. Now that that is all taken care of, I can finally start really modding the car as best as I can.
