- My talon had sat for about 2 years before I had bought it. The there was no maintenance since it sat so long.., so with some help from my friends.. I put a water pump, timing belt kit, head gasket, other gaskets as well, main and rod bearings, lifters and exhaust studs.. pretty minor things but time consuming. I’m actually deciding that I’m going to sell my talon. Because I am wanting to spend all my time and energy into one car rather than two. Ha
