- Background
- After an accident that rendered my Eclipse GS a total loss over two years ago; I decided to use the payoff money to buy me a turbo Eclipse since I had always wanted a turbo. I fixed the GS for under a grand. I searched online and was able to find this beat up GSX for almost the exact amount the insurance company gave me. Almost all of the mods this car has now were already there at the time of purchase aside from suspension, brakes, and much needed maintenance expenses which to this day I have not finished with. Because of school, a low wage job, and lack of funds I've only driven the car about 3k miles in these 2 years because of some unforeseen mechanical issue. Every time I drive it, I don't know if I'll make it to where I need to be. It's no secret that the car is in bad shape, and my parents and friends (especially my girlfriend) all tell me I'm crazy and that why do I want a car that doesn't work. I hope to make this car my happy place. Where I can get in and smile so hard because of all the hard work I've poured into it. I don't know if I want something with super extreme 9999WHP and will probably not even make it to half of that, haha, but my plans are to have something that not just anyone can beat, yet to still have a comfortable and somewhat reliable ride. My current goals are to make it passed the 300-350WHP barrier. I know in the future I'll be aiming for the 500-600HP mark, but most likely not any more than that.
