Where do i plugin ecmlink!?

i got my ecu back from ECMLink and there is no port to plug the USB cord in i thought there would be 1 on the ecu but there isn't so where the heck do i plug it in at?!

Im confused it plugs into the diagnostic port from the laptop. I plugged it into the computer usb, and into the car under the dash.

Yea plug in the ecu into the harness like normal, then the ECM link cable plugs into the obd port under the dash and into the USB port on the laptop.

OBDII port under dash > laptop

No offence if your having trouble plugging in the cable you may want to not try tune your own motor.

I agree, if this is your one and only daily driver you may want to slow your roll a bit and have an experienced tuner help you along. Especially if you've never tuned anything before.

I'm all for learning hands on but you can seriously damage your motor by messing up the tuning.

If you have another car you can get by with by all means, best way to learn is just do it.

The 1G diagnostic port is located above the driver's left foot attached to the fuse box.

my plug only has 4 pins that 1 looks like it has an extra 1 or 2 pins. is that a problem?

Nope, not a problem.

I've posted what all the pins on the DLC are for in the past here but after all these years you might have to dig to find it if you want to know.
