ok im compleatly lost ,my 97 talon is not starting so i probed my injectors with a dvom and im only pulseing like 1.50 to 2.00 volts , to my understandng im saposed to have battervoltage at the injectors, probed the power wire goin into the injector resistor and it has battery voltage there, so i replaced the resistor and still nothing , so i tryed another resistor, still no:notgood: tryed 2 different ecus, the cas is reading in link, where should i look next?? im pretty sure its not the mfi relay since im getting battery volts at the resistor. this car has been having demon wireing issues , it blew a coilpack right before this issue help please!:toobad:

Injectors turn on by the ECU grounding one side for a short interval (pulse) - around 2ms at idle (more while cranking and/or cold). Since the voltage is a pulse the dvom will read an average. And since the pulse is so short, the average will be close to battery/alt voltage since that is the voltage most of the time (pulse brings voltage to zero). Injector voltage reading depends where you have your dvom probes and what the engine is doing. Assuming you have the dvom negative connected to ground and engine is stopped but key on, you will always read battery voltage on both sides of the injector. When engine is cranking/running, you will read close to battery/alt voltage on both sides. If you connect a dvom probes to measure across the injector you most likely won't read anything since measuring across an inductor with a dc averaged meter is meaningless. You may/may not read something small (depends on how your meter averages) however, since there is an induced voltage spike at the end of the pulse if the inductor is working. Normally you can only see this spike with an oscilloscope and it's a very short duration (< 0.2ms). Even if the inductor is working the injector may still be clogged and not work properly.

Do you know if the injectors are working? Do you hear them click when listening to them with a screwdriver? Are they spraying fuel?

Your right I was trying to read voltage at accross the injector plug . I'm not sure what this cars deal is it makes great compression. Timing dead on. But when I crank it it just back fires and spits . It sounds like a old distrbuter car 180 out. It was just running so I know the cas isn't backwards.
