I just replaced my clutch with a act2600 with a street disk. I also have act streetlite flywheel. I have watched the jacks and jafromobile video.

When I rev the car up in gear with the clutch pushed in the car wants to move around 4k rpm. I did bleed the system before doing all this. Also when the clutch is pushed to start the car I really have to push a extra centimeter out of it. It seems like when I push the pedal to where I think its fine, it needs to go a centimeter further.

I have watched the jacks video where he said to block off the bleeder and then back off to where you can move the fork with your thumb. Once I did that the car still wants to move at 4k.

I had some slop in my pedal and that was an issue due to worn out bushings. I have also seen people forget to use thread lock on the pressure plate mounting bolts that backed off and had issues.

OP,

In your post, you make no mention of replacing the pivot ball or clutch fork. Have you inspected the position of the clutch fork like shown below?

You may also want to inspect both slave and master cylinders for any leaks.

I'm not surprised you're having issues with an ACT clutch setup. I've had clutch drag with my ACT setup for a long time no matter WHAT I did, I just drove it that way. Everything was replaced (Slave, Master, SS Line, Fork, Ball) and it still dragged around 5-6k rpm's. I just installed my Comp Clutch setup but haven't had the chance to do a drag test.

Also, you should think about disconnecting your clutch switch. (Do this at your own risk)

Any issues with getting into gear and drive-ability?

As weird as it may sound, my clutch pedal was bent causing it to not push the fork enough and i had to bend it back to its original place and it works good as new now!

I know you had an issue with your previous setup, but let's not turn this into a vendor review. There are plenty of people (myself included) that run an ACT without issue.

OP, glad you solved your issue (not ACT related). Be sure to still check out the fork position.

I did replace the pivot ball and TOB. The clutch fork looked fine to me so I did not replace it. The pivot ball also looked fine but replaced it as well.

When I bled the system i bled the whole thing. I did not bleed the master alone or the slave alone. I just left it all hooked up and bled it. Also I noticed the fluid that was in there from before was almost black. I put all new fluid in there. I just bled it until the fluid looked new. There are also no leaks. The clutch assembly also seems to be fine.

Thank you. I hope this can help to sort out my issue

One thing that helped me identify my problem was measuring the clutch fork travel. It should be about 0.75" of travel. What does yours come out to? (This will need 2 people, one pressing clutch and the other measuring with a caliper)

I bled the clutch and adjusted it multiple times. The clutch is still dragging at 4500. Here is pics of where I'm adjusted and my fork. Let me know what you think of the fork position.
