Body Kits=Ricers

This would probably be better suited for the hangout section.
To answer your question its going to be a matter of personal preference. I think it really depends on the kit, there are some that are not too crazy looking that I would not mind to have, but most body kits are out of control and (in my opinion) ugly.

Do body kits make a car a "RICER"?

I think they add flavor what do yall think? :dsm::laser::thumb:

Different strokes for diffrent folks. But I wouldnt be caught dead in a car with a BK.
My thoughts are if it dont make you faster dont put in on.

This is more a matter of opinion than anything. I have one on my car, but I find it subtle because my car is all black. I try not to make things all flashy, but once again it's a matter of opinion.

For sure the wrong car crowd to be asking this question to.

I agree with goldie, but if you ask me...like everyone says its a matter of opinion but if you have a 2g...2gb eclipse or talon looks like a kit anyway...ive had numerous people ask me if I have a kit on the car, and all I did was go from 2ga to 2gb.

All the 1g bodykits available are riced IMO

"hey look at my huge worthless holes!"

So... comparing a body kit on a DSM to an automobile that is built over-seas is kind of overrated.

I've never seen a 1G kit that I like until I just saw that 1st red one above. SO generally ricer IMO but there are exceptions to every rule.

That kit on the 1G is pretty sweet!!! Ohh there is a rumor that you can run an early model ferrari body kit on 1Gs...Is there any truth to this???

I agree, it's all a matter of opinion. Mine will be history ASAP.

Like everyone said above... But one thing that makes a ricer has to be all the fake sponsor stickers that people put on their car. Its one thing if you actually have sponsors, i just dont like seeing a dictionary of sponsor stickers on the side of a car.

I agree with you thats the first kit i have ever seen on a 1g that looked good. Anybody know the name and were to get one.\
\

But useually when i see a car with a kit that looks ricey on it i reach into my center console pull out a handfull of rice and sling it at the car. I think the DSM's look great as they are from the factory.:dsm:

As long as the body flows evenly and it doesnt add a huge FMIC hole for your smic, its shouldnt look too ricer. And get it painted....

DSMS were american built and the tag says made in america so that is what he means

Its very rare to see a car with a bodykit that isnt a ricer, not because a bodykit makes them a ricer... but rather, they have supporting "mods" that make them a ricer. If you have just a bodykit.. I wouldnt say its ricey.. Unless its one of those off the wall rediculous kits that make our dsms look like vaccuum cleaners. Truthfully though, I used to be into the whole bodykits phase.. until I owned a DSM with the the 2gb front end.. IMO it really doesnt get much better than that.. Im not trying to hop on the bandwagon here and say "SCREW BODYKITS DO THE 2GB CONVERSION" but in all my experience.. the 2gb really is perfect. The only bad thing is the 2gb looks horrible when its all scratched up and dented at the bottom from hitting shit.

I really really LOVE the middle body kit with the black 1g.
Anyone have a source on it? I'm going to order it right up, no joke.

IMO if they kit is honestly aerodynamically superior to the stock bumpers then its okay, but to me, i LOVE the 2gb talon front end and am serious when i say my next dsm will be a 2gb TSi awd. The car just looks agressive and needs no help to stand out. If your into the whole show car thing, and you enjoy flashy paints and lambo doors, thumbs up. If you want to turn heads because you just made that civic with the BK look like it was standing still, invest in some performance (=
