black box tuning-tactrix cable

is any one around my area that tunes with a blackbox ecu?? that may be able to give me a hand tuning my car? and possibly can bring a open port tactix cable to do it cause i dont have one yet. im willing to pay someone if they can come out and help me. i have ecu flash and ceddy's mods on my lap top.-thanks brendon.

I have the cable. Not sure how it really works yet too. I bought the tactrix cable and it comes with a plug where I have to plug into the obd2 port. My car is still in the shop but when its out ill test my car out. If I suceed you can flash your ecu for free. Ill try and help out as much as can too. But if you really want a real tune there's a shop in modesto that can tune ecu flash. You don't need to pay me you can pay him and show me . If your interested ill find his number.

yeah im interested man and if i remember right to flash the ecu you have to run and extra wire to like pin 79 or something like that with a head phone jack that plugs into the tactrix cable? does yours by chance have that? but yeah i understand alot of ecu flash i can kinda help you out with it!

If you have a 98 you only need the flashport cable in addition to the tactrix cable. The flashport cable lets you flash the ecu, if you have a 98 you should have the connector that goes the ecu near you OBD port.

Make sure you have the definitions for our cars of when you download the ROM or your ecuflash will just go ?_?. Good luck I've only learned how to setup base injector settings.

Does anyone by chance know how to read the fuel trims on evoscan? I'm getting some number close to 100 like -98.xxx, +101.xxx. When I use my pocket logger I get number close to zero like +5, -3, +10 etc... Bleh I learned how to tune with the SAFC but this is all new to me....

now thats my problem^^^^ is reading timing and fuel maps.... theirs only a few things i know how to set up like the injector flow rate/size your antilag the speed limit you want it to stop at your rev limit and stationary rev limits just the simple things you know? and as far as the roms i have one of my buddies saved on my laptop maybe one day you can show me how to get a new rom on their? and yes my ecu came out of a fwd talon tsi i just barely bought it but mine is a 98 awd but i do not have any cable i thought the tactrix cable would do it all?

Here's what you need:
Tactrix Open Port 2.0 cable
Mitsubishi flash plug
Laptop
EcuFlash Software
Eclipse definition files (can get on Ceddy's site), without this ecuflash won't know what to do with your ROM file.
And EVOscan if you want to datalog using your Open Port cable

you dont need that flash plug what you can do is take some head phones and cut the end off and solder another wire to the end. well you plug the head phone jack into the tactrix cable and run the open wire to one of the pins on the ecu. and you should be set i have a rom from ceddy's ready to put on my ecu i just need to change some setting back to stock injectors etc.

never mind thats an exeption to the ecu flash plug my bad man
