BC276 installed.

Well spent most of the day yesterday putting the new bc276. After tearing up my kiggly 6 bolt trigger removing the ati damper I finally got everything running. I don't have a review as of yet I took the car for a spin and as i expected I have to completely rewrite my ve table as its all over the place now. Boost is down and tuning will begin. Lets see what's the fuss with these new cams

Okay car is dialed in and running good. My take on the cam thus far is ! Okay now I can get back to the fuel line change. boosting 32psi.

I'll get one up for sure. My main objective when I put a set of cams in is to dial out as much overlap as possible. Some cams are just so big that this can't be achieved fortunately I was able to get the bc276 to run as smooth as stock cams. I spent all day maneuvering the cam gear setting until I found the 276 sweet spot. On the bc272s the sweet spot was exhaust cam set to zero and intake cam set to -8. on the 276 I started out with that setting but it wasn't good. At the end of the day sweet spot on the bc276 are +4 exhaust and -4 intake the car pulls very strong and with these settings have very good down low power.

Or you could do it the correct way with a degree wheel, solid lifters and piston stop. That way there is no half ass guessing.

Uhh... what? I don't think you understand what is going on here. What your describing is "degreeing in the cams" so you know where they are from straight up. He is adjusting the cam timing to achieve best performance. No dial indicator in the world is going to help you with that. It is strictly trial and error.

Now if he was to degree them in first, it would be a lot easier to duplicate these settings in the future.

Alex here is a teaser pull just had to do one my hand hit the brake at the end! From what I am guessing the car will hit 170 in very short order I had to let off it kind of felt like a coaster ride G force is a wonderful feeling

Thanks justin I was walking into summit racing when I got the alert. I am picking up my fuel lines and bulkhead for the upgrade. Stay tuned as I work this surgery into my schedule curious as to what this setup is capable of

How did the ATI dampener removal harm the trigger plate, just out of curiosity?

Those ATI units are great but can sure cause a lot of headaches- like Dave, myself, and about 10 other guys trying to get the damper off to replace a filter housing in the hotel parking lot at the Shootout last year. Their choice to use T40 Plus screws which NOBODY sells bits for couldn't have made for a better evening.

You have no clue the head ache I went through trying to get that thing off in my attempt my prying with a ball joint separator slipped and damaged my trigger plate which threw it off center and when i went to crank the engine the bent trigger plate broke the sensor. I ended up buying the ati damper removal tool which made the job a whole lot easier

Off topic but.... I was just in Atlanta on vacation for a week about a month ago from South FL and I saw Summit on the way driving there. Made sure I stopped on the drive back, love that place. Wish I knew you were in Atlanta or I would've tried meeting up with you. Enjoyed my time there but did mostly touristy stuff. You drove an hour from Newnan to Summit??

Thanks just let me know. They were loping at first. These 276 are not in production yet but are IMO one of the nicest cams for our cars. I will overlay them on dynograph with the 272s

Okay here is a log with the fuel and bc276 upgrade, it looking very promising for more horsepower than in my signature which was made at 40psi and the bc276 cams. This log is with boost set to 38 psi. Finally the car is getting the fuel that it needs and is even more insane than in the video above. It will be just amazing to put down 800whp

Couldn't help but notice from the video the airflowperrev is lower than what I would expect for those cams. I pretty much use the same ve map at idle (that's a good looking map btw), and I'm around .30 with BC272's, so I know it's not your ve map...is yours at .23-.25 because of the dial in?

So it was in the .30's prior to dial-in? Hmm...didn't know that affects airflowperrev. Learn something new every day
