All of those except the step heigh have been checked and verified. I'll definitely keep the step height in mindwith your clutch issue, make sure the flywheel step height was machined correctly. the wear disc is installed correctly, and lastly that the TOB is moving completely freely and full range of motion. also make sure your clutch line is good too. probably have been talked about but i just wanted to put my .02 in. ive ran nothing but southbends and have had zero issues.
Yup! I had a 1gB 5 speed naturally aspirated Talon back in high school….dreamed it was a TSi AWD back then and dreamed about the 2g GSX when it came out. Hence, my current mid-life crisis to finally get a 2g GSX .I remember getting my first 1ga on college it was an eclipse I loved that thing.
Got the wiring harnesses swapped, fuel tank in, shifter and cables installed into the red car.

Unfortunately the cables that came out out of the red car were trashed and both bent so they went in the trash.

I did notice that one of the connectors on the harnesses are different between the 2 years. After doing some research I'll just have to depin and repin them to each other's harness.

Got the engine and transmission swapped over as well which is a big milestone.

Sure am! I really wanted to get it done by this Saturday for a cars n coffee but I'm not sure that's gonna happen. I'll try though!Jesus, you're serious about this. Lol. Great progress so far!
Enjoy the wiring thing, I'm in the same/current boat with mine. It's a bastard-ized hybrid of 90 and 91-94 harnesses interior/engine.
Also: are you letting the clear cover be self-clearanced by the cam gear bolts? Is it an eBay/knock-off unit? It looks great. I'm infinitely envious of your transmission.

The clear cover is an eBay cover, they seem to fit well enough with a little modifications.
I bolt them up completely and then circle where the cam gear bolts are and then used a step bit to drill it out. Nice thing is, they're like $12 so if you mess one up its not a big deal. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1650705973...MxIdLP-TDC&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I work 7-3:30 everyday I give up a lot of my time for other stuff to be able to work on these turds.Am I the only one who has to work everyday? Lol
Nice friggin progress!
I did a quick check and didn't find anything, has anyone tapped the inside of their valve covers so that the baffle could be screwed in with some small button head allen screws or something similar? So that the baffles could be easily removed for cleaning or powdercoating, etc?
ive got aluminum ravenfab baffles right now and i wanted to have my valve cover powdercoated and change out the AN fittings and my baffles are welded in.
That was the plan. i have a spare valve cover I can use to test with. Id just be worried about drilling and tapping too deep and going through the valve cover.I don't see why it couldn't be done, but I'd be terrified of one of those little bolts vibrating itself loose and dropping into the head or worse. Maybe dab each with red loctite?
