Forza 2 R4 Endurance Race

Any of you guys beat it? I've tried it maybe 6 times now. My tires keep going out way too early, and as a result I need to pit twice to the AI's once. Unfortunately for me, I cannot make up enough time to still win. I am using the Audi #1 R6, and have tried just about every other R4 car I own (even bought a few).

Use the hardest tires you can buy, this should alow for less pit stops

I finally beat it last night. If I could change tires, it would have been easier. But on these R cars you can't change any parts. I know the #22/#23 vipers can do it - in fact they have the top 30 spots on the scoreboard. But I put so much time into learning that car and that track, that I wanted to do it in the RS6. I just drafted the #22 around and pitted when he did. Then I passed him in the last few laps, and viola! I win.

I usually pit one lap before they do so that I get to pass them while they are pitted and I can usually pull pretty far away from them.

yea, this works every time... set the AI to easy, turn all the assists off, turn everything on simulation, hire the cheapest driver, and unless your car is 10x slower than the rest, your guy wins the race, and you end up only losing about 20% of your earnings since you turned all the assists off.

Maybe if I was just doing it for money. But I wouldn't beat a race the first time using an AI driver. Where's the fun in that?

How long (real time) are the endurance races on Forza 2.

Earlier ones are 40-50 min, later ones (R class) are closer to 1 hr. Nothing like GT4 UGH.
