So I've been thinking of doing a budget 14b swap since I'm trying to save to buy a new house and I'm not sure if I really want to keep throwing fist fulls of cash at my car. I already have an Intake, MBC and boost guage, EVO III BOV, EVO III o2 housing with 3" Megan Racing exhaust including cat delete. At this point I'm running around 16psi of boost on my t-too small on 94oct. I found this chart>>> Road Race Engineering's Eclipse Fuel Delivery Upgrades showing that I could just do a fuel pump upgrade and be ok on my stock injectors up to 18psi with a 14b. Now I'm thinking if I stick to 16 psi on a 14b I could make a bit more power without spending a ton of money on tuning my fuel setup. Then down the road, if I choose to I can do the fuel stuff. Am I on the right track or am I just confused?

Just to be safe I'd keep it at 15-16psi or upgrade to maybe evo 560cc injectors and an safc.

Just an idea to through out there, would you consider meth. inj. kit instead of an upgraded turbo?

i will put it this way,if you do your home work you can make killer power of a 14b.I made
300hp on e85 on a stock ported 6cm 14b at 15psi and 340hp at 18-20psi on the 14b with 280 cams and full bolt-ons.:thumb:

Now, I know I'm not supposed to ask any questions about how much power I would gain on any givin swap:D but....with the mods I have and running the same boost, does anyone have a guess at what hp I could gain just doing the swap?

When I switched to a 14b from my t25, i was running about 12 psi and it did not make it feel any faster, just less low end and more high end power.
But that was only at 12 psi.

I put down 267 AWD HP on my 14b with the mods I have listed. That's about 320 HP at the flywheel and I officially ran a 13.20 with it. With a few more tweaks and tuning, I know I was running 12's (Not officially run, though) The 14b is a pretty capable turbo for a quick street car. I've been impressed.

Just finishing up an EvoIII 16G install with new piping and FMIC and now I am gunning for low 12's.

i wouldn't go over 12-13 psi on a 14b on stock 2g fuel. 15-16 with a 190lph or evo pump. even at 15-16 on stock injectors you would be doing what most people would consider unsafe, close to 100% IDC. with your mods, a 14b at 16psi would probably net 240-250awhp if the car's running well. it's not a good idea to turn up the boost without a logger, in any case.
