I have tired and tried to get this exhaust housing off my PTE SCM5031e and it is not wanting to come off .....I have followed all steps that could possibly be done and I even double checked here and found this http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=194977
and thats what I am doing ....lbut it does not want to turn so I can get 2 of the bolts out ...I am pretty much stumped on this 1 and I need this exhaust housing off so I can have it coated like I had my 02 housing

Someone help out ....am I doing somthing wrong ?

BE CAREFUL if you are trying to force the CHRA off. You definitely don't want to bend a blade just because you are careless. I would soak it with PB blaster then use a flathead screwdriver and gently wedge it evenly across the housing.

Maybe you got a different turbine housing?

And so were most of yours, it's obvious from the pictures you guys talking about two different PTE housing's. His has 4 8mm bolts and yours has 6 13mm bolts, he wasn't wrong and you don't have to be an asshole about it. If you're not going to use proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation, I'll just report it to moderator and let them deal with you.

Ok Report it then .......oh by the way I put in a word you left out , since your so great with words:tease: !

Is it hard to understand HE was wrong about the turbo I have I am using a PTE SCM5031E and I was not being a Asshole about it , but you came into my thread with NO helpful info and assuemed I was being a asshole , if what I said was such a problem I am sure he would have posted more about what I said .....And if you can read my 6th post that would be the 13th post in this thread, that I even told him I was picking !

Have A Nice Day :)

Did you get the housing off?

No I have not ....I have heated it , soaked it in PB blaster , WD40 , and tapped on it

The only other thing I can think of to do it put it in a Vice and see what happens when I put some force into it , but I am worried it might come free and while doing this and damage the turbine fins !

I am getting to the point of saying #### it, but I want to know why it is not coming off !

With mine, I just hit it with some pb blaster and beat the shit out of it with a big hammer.

Just make the bolts so they are barely loose, so when the housing frees up it wont have enough play to let the fins contact the housing.

So much drama for such a small problem. Just start tapping the exhaust housing with a hammer all the way around dont be so scared. It will come off if you keep working at it.
