I'm about to begin installing my fmic with short route piping. I'm trying to figure out whether the curved intake pipes such as Dejon's are required for such a setup. The reason I ask is because I was going to just get the 2.25" elbow for the stock intake pipe for now ($35) rather than pay $170 for the curved intake pipe which I will get later down the road. I just blew $3000 on upgrades in the last month so I'd like to chill out on the car expenses for a bit.
Thing is, I'm looking at the curved intake pipe and how the bov pipe will be routed under it, and I'm wondering if the curved pipe makes clearance easier. I'm not sure if the stock intake pipe shape and position will cause problems for me.
So will the elbow be enough for now?
...or must I get this?
