i have a 97 eclipse gs and i am looking to buy a stage 2 turbo kit i already have about 4k saved up to spend on one and maybe a fuel manager like safc too. i have searched and found threads about this topic but still cant decide which would be best for me. the haun turbo kit is a little more expensive and doesnt come in the kit with with a front mount intercooler you have to pay more. the star kit comes with one and is less but ive heard their tech support sucks and the sound of it sounds like a "dumptruck" i havent done anything internal to my engine but i do have the mp60mm tb and all aftermarket 2.5in exhaust. what im really looking for in this thread are people who have had experience with either turbo kits i would like to know how satisfied you have been with it. i cant wait to boost and i love the sound of the blow off valve on a turboed car. i mean does the star really sound THAT bad? i just want to do a little research and find out people who have had experience with these before i blow 3,000$ on one of these bad boys. any input appreciated and hopefully this thread will clear up my desicion on which to buy

I currently run the HAHN Super16G on my car (little over a year) and can tell you that I've received great tech support from them for any questions I've had along the way. You can look in my mod list and see the items purchased...fitment was "spot on". The turbo produces rock solid boost out to 65-6800RPM. The AWD guys usually don't like it as it does have about 500RPM more lag than your normal 16G, but being FWD, a little lag isn't such a bad thing.

How does the star kit sound" like a dump truck?

I never looked into them since im a 1G, but maybe the kit is using a external waste gate dump/

You can always have that routed back into the dp to quit things down.
