I just put the 16g in and now im hooking up all the piping. Just a little confused about where this pipe goes and what is connected to it. Does anyone know the order to set up the intercooler piping?

That pipe goes between that 90 degree silicone coupler and your stock sidemount location for a boost source. Since your 16g does not have one on the compressor housing like the t25 does. Good luck.

I wonder why they didnt throw the vac. nipple directly on the j-pipe and then make the 90* coupler longer to go directly to the SMIC???

Ya that extra pipe is unnecessary and just adds more couplers.

i agree with the nipple directly on the j-pipe.

as for more couplers, the L pipe looks like its just a fiberglass reinforced silicon tube, or a fancy radiator hose in a L shape. if you use that, youre actually using the same amount of clamps, seeing that with a j-pipe-L pipe, you need a coupler and 2 clamps, and the Lpipe-smic you need a coupler and 2 clamps. but with that setup you only need a clamp for the j-pipe-Lhose, a clamp at the Lhose-nipple section, and a coupler with 2 clamps for the section-smic. so you still have the same amount of clamps and connections, and same amount of chances for a boost leak.

i still dont understand why there isnt a j-pipe to smic thats all one piece. unless there is and i just havent found it yet.
