Hey guys,

I have a pretty much stock 2g GST (dejon tool intake & 1g BOV are only mods so far). I wanted to get opinions on a turbo-back exhaust system. Which application would be best for general street, everyday use but would provide the most performance without much maintenance? I plan to upgrade to a BIG 16G turbo in the future, but have the stock turbo for the time being. I am interested in the VRS 3" turbo-back, but welcome any suggestions or comments. Also, is the O2 eliminator an advantage or should I stick with the basic setup?

Thanks,

~B :dsm:

I am also interested in the RSR exhaust since I want a quieter system. Any ideas on GT2 system vs the ExMag system? Is the RSR down-pipe street legal? If not, any suggestions on true 3" down pipes that are street legal?

Thanks,
~B :dsm:

If youre still on the stock T25, I would recommend to keep the stock exhaust or if you really need to, do a 2.5".

I took off my 2.5" turboback with a high-flow cat and returned the stock dp+cat+catback and I felt more torque and no boost creep from my car. It feels smoother and my Profec B II does not give me any warning of spikes ever since. I had to smog so I had took off my HKS Carbon Titanium system.

Im gonna upgrade to a Evo3 16G so the 2.5" exhaust would be adequate.

3' Thermal Turbo-Back Exhaust w/ racing downpipe - - - is what i have and love it !

What kind of turbo do you have? Do you have boost creep problems?

I have a setup of Apexi GT downpipe & Greddy EVO cat back (on my Eclipse) and IMO it is the best setup I have heard on any 4-cyl car. I get tonnes of complements because at WOT it sounds nice & deep but just cruising it sounds stock quiet.

I have an RNR downpipe and Thermal R&D setup on my Talon and it is too loud for my tastes. The Thermal has a nice deep sound but it is continuous and after a while it is relentless on the ears.

It all depends what you are looking for. If you want something refined sounding I would suggest the Greddy EVO. If you want attention the Thermal or Apexi ones will suffice nicely. :thumb:

You will have creep problems on any aftermarket exhaust and a T25. Just wait until before you upgrade the turbo to do exhaust unless you can deal with the creeping. Or, if you can;t wait, just do a cat-back now and finish it when you upgrade.

I had the T25 and HKS Hi-Power catback and didn't have any issues, then I just finished the test pipe and downpipe when I upgraded the turbo.
