S-AFC with stock injectors and turbo

so tonight i setup my afc and egt gauge and man was i ever in the dark. my settings are at

Low Setting:
1K +20 2K +18 3K +10 4K +8 5K +6 5.5K + 6 6K +6 7K +6

High Setting:
1K -3 2K -3 3K -2 4K -2 5K -2 5.5K -1 6K 0 7K 0

TH-Point
Lo 35% Hi 80%

the car feels a lot better all around, my o2 voltage is holding .96 and my egts at 810..hasn't felt this good since i bought it basically every mod you do until you take care of the fuel you arent getting your full moneys worth out of them.

get the AFC and all the gauges and talk to some old school tuners and enjoy your new smooth running car (my idle was so crap because of the motor mounts before socali tweaked with my afc)

the install is kind of scary because of wiring but captain i can do it (brian/socali) had no problem

just remember...a tuned car is a happy car, gawh next to get a boost controller...it never ceases to amaze me how retarded the stock BCS can be.

A few responses:
1. So tonight BRIAN setup up Mike's AFC and EGT
2. For all you guys out there, EVERY car is different, so dont just go copying Mike's settings and assume that they will be fine on your car! Mike's car is tuned for Mike's car.
3. His high throttle point it 80%
4. If any of you are tuning and new, make sure you are monitoring your O2 voltage
5. DAMN STRAIGHT! You need fuel mods to take advantage of all your other crap!
6. Damn right! I love wiring stuff!

Goodluck to all you guys out there!
Sincerely,
Captain Brian "I can do it" Kimball

tweaking the fuel pressure just changes the theoretical CC output of your injectors. so the stock pressure yields the stock cc amount. as we learned in algebra we put what were changing the pressure to, just say 2 psi higher. so you cross multiply to figure out your new output. stock cc times new pressure divided by stock pressure will give you the new rating. it works the other way as well, you can technically drop the fuel pressure on 720s to make them act like 660s.

Why are your low trims so high did you remove the honeycombs?

Don't worry, Mike likes to talk like he is smarter than he really is

It really pretty simple, he just explained it in a complex way. The FPR can make your injectors act like they are either bigger or smaller than they really are, giving you more overall control over tuning.

No, we richened it up because his car was idling like crap before the AFC, and when we richened it up it ran much smoother. When the honeycombs are out, RRE suggests close to +50% at the low RPM point
However, we are going to experiment with my honeycombs soon and they we will do the same with his

You're wrong about the fuel pressure, you cannot simply cross-multiply.

The effective flow rate equals the old flow rate times the square root of the new base pressure over the old base pressure. Keep in mind that injectors are rated at 43 psi base.

new flow rate = old flow rate * sqrt(new fp/old fp)

There is no reason you would need a AFPR to tune, as long as you're not overrunning the stock FPR. Just use the fuel trims.

That is exactly what I said earlier. It isnt needed to tune. However it can give you MORE control over your fuel tuning.
