Ahh.. Stock O2's aren't good for anything except closed loop anyway

Looks like the 2nd log show the car needs some serious tuning , only showing 5-7 degrees of timing

Seeing these posts makes me want to go log my car, but then i'd get carried away and have to "fine tune" something. Maybe i'll pull a 3rd gear log of my car and post it up today.

Ok guys so with S-AFC, 190 Walbro fuel pump, 560 evo Injectors we should be able to fix the timing correct?

Your 5,748rpm data point shows you flowing 1.73g/rev. Looking at the 1.8g/rev timing tables for the 2g ECU, its showing the following:

500rpm target timing = -2 degrees
750rpm target timing = -2 degrees
1000rpm target timing = 2 degrees
1250rpm target timing = 4 degrees
1500rpm target timing = 3 degrees
2000rpm target timing = 1 degrees
2500rpm target timing = 3 degrees
3000rpm target timing = 7 degrees
3500rpm target timing = 8 degrees
4000rpm target timing = 11 degrees
4500rpm target timing = 11 degrees
5000rpm target timing = 12 degrees
5500rpm target timing = 16 degrees
6000rpm target timing = 19 degrees
6500rpm target timing = 19 degrees
7000rpm target timing = 19 degrees
7500rpm target timing = 19 degrees

You definately have a bunch of knock in the second log since you are barely hitting half of what the ECU is shooting. Have you addressed plugs, wires, fuel filter, boost leaks etc? Also, does the second car have an SAFC, because that would throw all my targets off.

No boost leaks but we need to address those (wires, plugs etc).
He has no SAFC yet.
So basically our target numbers should be what you posted correct?

Yes those are the targets for that amount of airflow. You may have to turn the boost down to get rid of the knock, which will change what timing map your ECU aims for because the airflow will change ( be lower ) so you should even get more timing with lower boost. But either way that 2nd log shows a car that's not happy the way it sits right now tuning wise.
