Do 2 cylinders fire at once?

Since there are two spark plug wires coming out of each coil, does that mean that two cylinders fire at the same time?

Yes, two plugs fire at once... it's called "waste spark".

Don't believe me... switch the two wires at the coil... it will make no difference in how the car runs.
