Im in melting need of someone who can help me figure out whats wrong with my a/c system. First my compressor did not work, so i bougth a new one and the drier also. Had it installed in mexico and recharged. Was doing fine for about a day and now if I turn on my a/c I can hear the compressor kicking in but its on, off, on, off. Dosnt stay steady, went back to the a/c place and they checked it out and said the system is still fully charged and it must be something electical that is keeping the compressor from fully kicking in. Could it be a realy or something? Also on the way back in the border I was having some heating issues (219degress) and when I got to the officer he made me turn my car off. So when i went to turb it back on it would not even try to start. Turned out my 30 fuse from the ignition burned out :( . So what the hell is wrong with my system. Im going down to phoenix wednesday night and probably will be there untill friday night. Can someone please help me out or give me sugestions on good repair shops. Thanks.

had a similar problem with my 92 talon. I replaced my compressor then recharged it and my a/c worked about 3 days then started cutting on/off. The problem was when the compressor was replaced the system wasnt evacutaed of the air that got into the system so when it was charged the sysem thought there was more freon then it really was because of the air. Take it to a shop and have the system evacuated( around 30$) then recharge it, it should be good after that.

Well I went to a shop on 625 W Guadalupe Rd, Gilbert, AZ and it was going to cost 30dollars for a service fee and 30 dollars for every pound of freon they put in. The guy said I should change the expansion valve before doing the service. So now I have to figure out where that is and change it out  . Ohh well looks like i will be driving in the heat for a couple more days.
