Track day at streets of willow April on18th

Not sure if anyone had seen this or was interested, but figured I'd throw it out.

I have some work on my car that I was going to be doing prior to this event. As long as that all works out, I'll be going....plus if I can get the day off as it's a Friday.

This is a fun track to run!

I guess I'll have to find out how a t25 performs on the track I guess I'm down for this track meet. Let me gather some of my dsm buddies now.

I had a t25 when I first went there...wasn't the worst, but fell flat on the straits....still tons of fun for a first time at the track.
I'm trying to get some of my buds as well, at least one dsm'er, a vette guy, and a super'd svt-focus ...but the latter has been out of commision for a little while.

How much track time do you get at these events? I want to go, but my RA1's are almost gone!

The only track events I have done have been with speedtrialusa. How is the organization and running of Redline events compared to them?

I think it could be a fun time. I like Big Willow a bit more but streets is lots of fun.

I don't know if it's showing off. The Big track is a little more scary but it is the easier track to drive. Streets is very technical and I'm not really the best driver.

I've got some camera footage so I'll check it out, but from the last time I went, I had so much track time I was beat by the end of the day...only reason we all left was cause we were all tired.

SOADweskey
I'm not sure how they compare to speedtrialusa as I've never been to one of their events. Hopefully I'll hit one of those events up sometime in the future!

Who is going to this for sure? The fact that it is on a Friday means that I have to use a sick day from work but it could be totally worth it.

I'm still working on my car, but if I can get things squared away this week(prior to going to work) and weekend, I should be good to go on it.
I'm still waiting on word from 2 other friends that might be going.

This is what I am working on and the status of each. I plan to test each set prior to moving on to the next set.
set 1 - completed
rewire fuel pump -100% completed
injectors - 100% installed and set up in dsmlink.
fuel filter - 100% this was a test of patience....
braided clucth line - 100% though not fully drive tested as of yet
shifter bushings - 100%

set 2 - would like to get done
power steering pump - 30% have the new pump, need to removed the old one and pull the pully.
exhaust mani - 30% need to install - this may have to wait but would do it when the ps pump is off.

set 3 - don't need to get done
bleed brakes - 0% - maybe sunday or the following weekend.
rear brake pads - sitting in living room, these will be put on when I bleed brakes

set 4 - will not be done
supra intercooler - will have to wait for now.
replace hood - still trying to find a decent cf hood, though may just go with stock
replace front bumper - need to get it painted

if I can get this stuff done and tested by this weekend, I'll be going. Should be doable...

Bummer on the front hub. Wish I could go, need a roll cage and I would like to see how the LSD performs on a track.

Looks like it was a lot of fun. I've spent the last two days helping my parents move the entire contents of their house from La Verne to Joshua Tree.
