i finally made it to the track last night and was impressed enough with my improvements to share with all of you.....

first time out last week i did 12.99@107 spraying a direct port 80 shot. We figured this was pretty crappy since i had been doing 12.4@103 before the nitrous. After posting about what kind of timing i should be running Aslan suggested setting the base timing back to 5deg BTDC. Well we set the timing and went back to the track last night.

keep in mind, NOTHING was changed except the timing.

Thanx Aslan for the GREAT advice. I really appreciate you spending the time to explain to me how to properly set up the nitrous.

Any time my friend. If you need any other help, let me know. Congrats on the nice times too!!! How does it feel on the spray? ;)

Regards,

the spray is definately a swift kick in the ass. i'm really happy with the mph, but the times leave much to be desired. i really need to get the tranny rebuilt. on another note, do you have any suggestions on a switching setup that will allow me to spray once i hit 2nd gear? until i get drag radials, i'm limited on traction out of the hole. 1.7x 60' are fine without spraying, but my best spraying out of the hole is a 1.88. flipping the covered toggle switch after i shift doesn't seem to be very practical.

DMS - i just put a zex kit on my car, i really like it so far, the 35 shot i'm spraying actually feels stronger than my old civic w/ 75 shot, i'll be going to the track friday to see what difference it makes.

but can you run a zex kit on a '96? don't they have a weird fuel pressure regulator or something?

I'm using the NOS sportsman fogger direct port system that i got from nathan at DSMotorsports.

mods are: ported big 16g, walbro 255, 720cc injectors, ported 2g exhaust manifold, act 2600, misc. gauges, afc, hacked MAS, 3in o2 elim. downpipe, full 3in exhaust no cat, hallman mbc, i think thats about it.....

all passes with nitrous were made with 19psi with C-16

If I'm not mistaken Turborix has been selling the zex kits for quite sometime now, and installing them on there customers cars. It is considered a dry kit though. Wet kits are really recommended for turbo apps. But as long as your car is in good running order and you have plenty of fuel, I think no more than a 55 to 75 shot would be fine as long as your not running a bottle out every other day. I'm sure Noslaser will put his expertise in, atleast I hope so, because I like the simplcity of the zex kit myself. Where you at Asian? Later!!!

We sell the ZEX kits at the shop (Dynamic Motorsports) and I haven't really looked deeply into it, but I know we could do something with getting a kit on my car. If not, I would just goto NX or something.. *shrug*

Nice results.. Congrats.
