Has anyone swapped out the stock airbag wheel for an aftermarket wheel. I can't find a hub for '95-up Eclipse, will one for a 94 fit the splines?

you have to buy the sparco kit.... it will work with momo too.. the only thing is when you buy that kit make sure u buy a steering wheel that fits the bolt pattern of your hub kit..

The splines are the same on DSMs, it's probable that the lawyers keep a listing for 2Gs off the books because of the airbag. Frightening a corporate lawyer is like beating an amputee at hopscotch. 1G wheels fit 2Gs just fine.

SOMEWHERE on here is a very nice article about moving the cruise control switch from the back of the steering wheel to the column pod, but I'll be damned if I can find it now. It's been within the last couple of months.

i was thinking the same thing!!!!! LOL!!^^^^

please put that link about the cruise if you get it.. cause thats a mod i need to do!!

Um... wtf are you smoking?
Nothing. Ever.
What the heck does this babble mean??
It means that if a manufacturer were to say "The MOMO 6101 hub will adapt aftermarket steering wheels to 2G steering columns" [that is the one: http://www.shopmomo.com/hubadapterapp.html and they do list it as being for 90-02] without a disclaimer about the supposed "hazards" (and illegality, if any- they only have a half-page about it on their site) of removing an airbag (I've never seen the "safety" in being blinded just when you most need to see where you're going and what's coming) and some unbelted dork gets killed by the wheel or hub, MOMO would find themselves in the same business as Johns-Manville... that answer being "none". Kind of like the challenge you may encounter in getting a shop to install an aftermarket steering wheel for you.
Close, but points off for incomplete:

I'd thought I saw that on here. Too many too late nights, I guess. But thanks for the steer :thumb:

give a go for a insurance coverage with a good dental plan, because those wheels are hard to bite!!!

ifyer cheep - ya can use a grant wheel hub for a 1g.. on a 2g .. there like 15 bucks ? and grant wheels are a ton cheeper also.
