After I installed a new kenwood cd deck into my 1g,I bought a small storage bin that takes care of the gapping hole under it.But isn't there a panel you could get that has flip switches and a start button on it.It might have been by "Ignited" company but having trouble finding them.Too Ricey?And it would be great to see a picture.

Or you could just use some scrap metal, cut it into the rectangular shape, and glue it, or screw it on with small, but yet attractive screws.... Going for a old aircraft style look.

or you could put like pens, and cd's and the lil remote for the cd player i it...but thats just me

Ignited does make a panel like you described. Their website is a pain to find though... I honestly can't remember the address off the top of my head but I remember it wasn't obvious. mine came with a little black piece that pops in and covers the hole. Im just going to drill into that. I dont really like the look of that ignited one, some subtle black switches would be better

that is mine. i did it in like ten mins. took some sheet metal screws (very short) and used female electrical connectors and screwed into the spots on the back that look like they were meant for a screw. if you want better pics i can get it out of my car and take some.

My stock cd player ate my cd so I threw it in the garbage. I did this until I get my new one.

here is my idea i am going to take a piece of sheetmetal cut it into the shape to fit the whole and put a rivet in each corneror just use double sided tape havent decided. and i am gonna have someone around town hook me up with some "eclipse" "dsm" etc. stickers and place one on the front.. i am thinking about selling them if the first one goes well so if anyone is interested shoot me a pm and i will let you know about price and i will get some pictures when the first one is done hopefully by the end of this week..

I put my boost controller in there, and the little CD player remote.

Heres what I did, $8 Ebay Cubby and a few pieces of a VHS Cassette Tape and ALOT of hot glue

I finally got a pic of my switch panel underneath my radio. I made it about 2 weeks ago. I used 1/8" steel and JB Welded it over the hole and then wrapped it in black vinyl. It turned out quite nice. I didnt get everything put back together before the pic though.....

i was looking through the newest crutchfield catolog today and WOW.

i am inpressed with this new kenwood dvd flip out. you need a double DIN space like we have.. and it takes up both DINs, its a 6.5 flip out and looks amazing. now only if i had 1300 bucks

You could get the one with the clock, and it could race your radio through time.

Or, maybe the fancy European one with the headlight adjuster.

i dont have pics yet of what im doing.. but ive seen it before..

cut out the symbol and put a neon light behind it.. leds work best.. but it will shine out through the diamonds and look bad ass.. ill have pics soon

WOODGRAIN? ! Its Eclipse, not a Cadillac....maybe some fluffy leather seats too? on a swivel..? so they turn when you get out of the car.....ha haaa...

imm poor so i can just take some particle board hehe. naw id never woodgrain my mitsu. but swivel seats would be nice, damn squirrel belts are always biting me and my passengers!

whoa whoa whoa!! where the hell did you get those white pieces at WITH the stock pics and heat/ac things on them?!?

maybe he took out old ones and scanned them then printed them on a good thick paper. its a cheap way t get white guage faces, ust put them over the stock ones so the lighting isnt all b0rked.
