Ok guys so im trying to get rid of my GSX fast!! my buddy has a fully built 1g with a fresh paintjob and wheels hes selling for 4k what do you think i should post mine up for so i can sell it for quick at around what my friend is asking for his talon?

The Good: stock besides a hard intake pipe and filter.. 3inch stainless exhaust.. and boost gauge.. and 55k original miles (I dont believe the miles but the title says actual! :D)

The bad: paint isnt shiney at all needs more clear coat.. had bad strut tower rust but i had it taken care of... rear wheel well rust..

It runs really good just a little rich and im working on figuring that out now but if you guys could give me a ball park estimate that would be great! I have it for sale for 4k obo now

errrrrr. how bad is the wheel well rust? i just bought my car with some "wheel well rust" later to find out that it is frame damage and isnt structurally sound... but if it ACTUALLY has 55k miles... 3500 probably.

I honestly doubt it does because of the rusts but the title states that it has 55k and says actual below it so thats what im going by and i mean if anything the engine bay is more ugly from it getting repaired then the rusts is.. there is no actual rust on the part of the tower that the shock bolts to its more or less around the strut tower than actually on top of it

Put it up for $2,500 and it'll probably be gone by tomorrow. $3.5k if you want to maybe wait a couple days. Chances are people are going to try and offer $500-1000 less than what you're asking. That's usually what I do.

I have it up for 4k obo if i cant get 3500 out of it ill just keep it but really want my friends talon its fully built everything

if you had the option... why would you want to buy something built by someone else?

To make it sell quick you need to make it more appealing to the masses, which means getting rid of your personal touches that the majority don't necessarily like. Just by looking at the photos you provided I can tell you that just by replacing your tail lights with the stock red ones (leave the center piece black) you'll increase potential buyers 10 fold.

Without actually looking at the car in person (popping the hood, doing a compression check, looking at the condition of the tires, etc.) we honestly can't give you a fair price. As it sits and looks, my top dollar would be $3k given the pictures and info you provided.

Also, cars tend to sell faster when you post up good photos of it. I recommend drying the car off after you wash it (somethings aren't good wet), taking pictures of it someone other than your driveway or curbside, and use something better than a camera phone.

Please don't turn this into a For Sale thread either, post it in the classifieds.

EDIT
Here's an example of a good "FOR SALE" photoshoot, STM was selling this GSX a few months ago and these were some of the pictures they had in the ad. 25k mile GSX I understand not everyone has a $1k camera but just use some of their angles/interior shots/etc. to get an idea...

:dsm:

The steering wheel to me screams race car. Knowing that I'm gonna lowball whatever you put up by $1500. Because in my mind You've been racing this car and driving it into the ground.

I've bought and sold many gofast cars over the past year.

I've give you $2000 for it.

The reason i want to get rid of it is mainly because of the rust i hate it and dont know why i got the car in the first place and im in over my head with this car it still needs so much stuff just to look appearanceable it will cost thousands of dollars and thats no even in go fast parts...

And gofer that gsx is absolutely gorgeous and that really does make the car look so much better, and i dont have the core support in the front thats why its sagging i did go out and buy one tho

part the bish out on the forum!

I cant the only reason im selling it is to buy my friends gorgous 93 tsi fresh paint with interior that looks like it was on the showroom last week with black leather.. i want it so bad not to mention fully built head and block sheet metal intake with a huge turbo all it needs is injectors and a tune, and i have both of those things already..

If i cant sell it asap ill just keep it paint it get some good looking wheels with a lowering kit and drive it for a summer and toss it away for like 5500

your out of your mind if you think someone would pay 5500 for a rusted out 95 GSX.

Im saying if i kept it and fixed everything thats wrong with it, painted it, took care of the wheel well rust, rims, lowered with the talon conversion i think i can get 5500 no problem in my area dsm's are rare especially a 2g gsx i see them go for 4500 with 130,000 miles bone stock

I'm coming to ohio to sell my car if the time ever comes... LOL

really? yours KKB'ed that high? i think mine was around 5500 and a year newer. LOL mileage was probably the main factor

Either your full of it, or the market varies drastically state to state. $5500 will buy you a turn key immaculate 450-500whp 2G here in FL. I've seen 10-11 second 1G's that are amazingly clean sell for 5k all day long.

About a month ago my friend bought a 1g GST running for $600 and you come across deals like this quite often.

i just bought my 96 gsx with 380 whp, for 4,800. with 90k on the motor, and it was by far one of the best deals i had found in the month i spent looking.

yea i think for 4000 is steap for a 95 i would say hope for the best of 26 or 28 hundred im over in michigan and built 2g go for 5 to 6 thousand with decently low 100,000 miles. Just keep an eye out and find a nice 1g thats stock and have the pleasure of building it up yourself

There literally isnt any around me at all LOL my friends own them all! its nuts...

Heres our crew and btw there is 2 10 second 2g's in the garage as well

That's a cool pic LOL..

I think it may be worth what your asking, but it's hard to say because I don't know how the engine is and how bad the rust is?

That's the truth. My 1g came from Ohio and that thing is all rusted out. I don't even bother using PB Blaster or heating up bolts anymore. I just break the bolts and buy new hardware
