i dont think its the same one... the one were looking for goes into the side air dams, the one on ebay doesnt... although it looks like the driver's side does and the passenger side doesnt?

the company that sells that lip is (or was) on ebay and the pic they had was that lip on a red 97 bumper off the car

the front lip says greddy on it.... maybe its a greddy lip. or maybe im an absolute idiot since i have no idea about appearance parts.... does greddy even make things of that nature? LOL

Looks like the stillen front bumper to me with a fiberglass piece molded to the bottom

nope, its not stillen bumper

its a lip thats for sale on ebay, just adds to the stock 97-99lip, its cool but its a bit too aggressive if you see it from different angles, it sticks down far and doesnt match the stock side skirts

that lip from spain is much cooler and some guy found one that you can get here in the states that fits and is only like $90

The EBAY lip in the link IS the same one. The center section goes inside the fish mouth, the vents on the side are the same and the red one has the center section painted black. The one on the red car isn't molded either, and the color looks enhanced in that pic.

Too bad that seller doesn't have a better feedback rating - I'd buy it...

I love that lip - aggressive as hell - I originally thought it was the Stillen grafted onto the stock bumper too. Glad you guys pointed out which piece it really was.....

There's got to be a more dependable source out their that stocks that item!

Sorry I didnt see this thread earlier..I first saw that lip a week and a half ago and emailed the owner with some questions...Currently right now my car is in the shop getting the same setup done..I purchased mine from that same seller on Ebay so it shouldnt be a problem...Here's what the owner emailed me back in case everybody was trying to find out what he did:

"You'll love the lip. Since it's made of urethane,
install is really easy, since there's so much room to
work with (unlike brittle fiberglass). You will need
some generic bolts and screws and a drill, and just
screw in all the places where you think the lip needs
to be held firmly; it's all up to you.

The way I had mine painted, was to section off the
middle, right under the intercooler, and paint the
sides. You will need to have the lip professionally
painted though. I did it with the lip OFF the car.
It's urethane, so the painter will need to add a
special flex agent to it. Should cost about $150. DO
NOT spray paint the lip! It will crack and chip in a
few days (been there, done that, LOL).

There is absolutely no molding at all (and you
should avoid molding at all costs, since urethane
flexes differently from the stock bumper plastic). The
best thing is, you will never worry about cracking
this lip like you would a fiberglass body kit, or even
carbon fiber. My car is SLAMMED, and i scrape
everywhere, and the lip just flexes every time.

Good luck with the install! "

Ha! I found one thats almost exactly like that except its carbon fiber. :D It's $299.95 plus $80.00 to ship. Heres a direct link for those who are interested. Ebay Carbon Fiber Lip

Too bad that lip can't do anything about that ski-slope hood. :barf:

the hood doesnt look THAT bad. if one was looking for a vented widely manufactured hood, i would argue for a predator hood- except that it isnt a bolt on for the 4G63 :notgood:

hey Crazyjoker777, did that bolt right up? and does it come in cf?

Actually, the hood compliments the elements of the lip very well. The sharp lines of the hood and the angular scoops on the side. If it had the stock hood, it would look too rounded for that lip. The combination is nice, but the mirrors don't flow. If he had more agressive looking mirrors, it would better complete the look. Usually I wouldn't question Defiants taste as it ususally dead on, but I think that this is one of those rare cases where he just doesn't see it. Guess it's true about your eyesight going as you get older... It's apparently gone when you reach ancient... :D

RIPOFF :notgood: :notgood: I think those should only be used for show purposes.
Actually... I went to a car meeting where a whole bunch of tuners meet up (redline meetings for all you MI peeps  ) and I saw a Green 97 with a cf hood and that lip lowered about 1.5 inches and it was off the map. It wasn't scrapped up or nothing. By the way, our roads here in michigan suck really bad.
