i knew it was only a matter of time before this happened. first, travis pastrana get's into rally. then, we see rally on the x-games. now, we can watch every event on espn2!

i almost cried.

now if we could only get wrc back on tv.

Hopefully RA can make a good presentation in '07. They'll need to try to get some big money teams lined up. I keep reading on all the rally mailing lists about all these guys that have done it for years that are dropping out due to the rapidly increasing expense. Would be nice to see RA become the WRC of the USA, and then hopefully see some small regional series start up too. Us average people are being priced out of RA now

My RA license expired yesterday... I didn't bother to renew... I'm hoping to get more involved in a potential new regional series.

i agree, the cost of rally > than i can afford right now... but i'm sure as hell going to give it my best shot.

now would be a good time for you to go out and try to get some more/new/better sponsors lined up. you could take advantage of this news and use it as incentive. you're fortunate enough to have some experience to fall back on and show people. i've got diddly so i'm not going to be able to just go out and market my unexperienced self.

what do you do? motorsports are expensive. you wanna play? you gotta pay.
