Well today my dsm pissed me off again! Ok so i'm driving and i notice a low knock but when i push the clutch in it goes away then while driving it knocks and in 2nd its LOUD! its so loud and such a hard knock i feel it through the car. It almost sounds like a bad cv joint but harder and louder(its not the joint btw). Could it be something in my tranny? It almost sounds like something is getting knocked around in there; my buddy said it might be the throwout bearing or the beginning of crank walk. It pisses me off cuz i just replaced the clutch, resurfaced the flywheel and rebuilt the tranny cuz i snapped the planetary grear in my LSD...Anyone have this prob before? it kinda sounds like its walking to me.....btw, i did a search. thanx

There are other things to consider before crankwalk. Did you replace throwout bearing when you did the repairs? It may be a possibility that the flywheel was not torqued down properly and it loosened up, thus causing the knock you described. It could be that when you press down on the clutch, it forces the flywheel back into place which would stop the knocking you experience. Maybe something is loose in the tranny and what I described with the flywheel is happenning. I would not be so quick to jump to conclusions about crankwalk because in all likelihood it's not. Plus, I am pretty sure that Crankwalk is opposite to what you describe as in the noise would occur when the clutch is pushed in. But it is something that will require immediate attention. I would stop driving the car ASAP and have it checked out. I think the problems lies within your rebuild.

Oh Ok. I would hate to of thought it was crankwalk but every prob i have i'm like 'oh shit crankwalk" you guys got me scared about that LOL....Its parked right now, this weekend we're gonna pull out the tranny amongst other things i was planning on fixing. thanks for the reply, i'll keep all that in mind

it does when its in neutral but its not as loud, it sounds like a lifter when its in neutral. I'm pretty much leaning toward a bad throwout bearing. Everyone that i've talked to said that could be it.
