HI Guys,
I just got Eclipse 1990 Non-Turbo, everything is fine but the Engine Check and the Exchaust Light are always on, the guy i bought it from says There is no Turbo thats why there is a light.

Can Anyone Help me on this.

Regards

Thanx For the Reply man but, I am attaching the photo,
See the light on Right Corner, which is that one?

Trust me I am not soo good in cars, not at all you can say. and Eclipse was never Launched here ( Dubai, United Arab Emirates), they have mitsubishi Dealers but no eclipse.

And one more problem, sometimes when i am starting the car, the power from battery just cuts off, I could see a small spark. then i removed them and connected tighten 'em up it worked fine in the morning , but now again it did the same , and then i did the same to solve the issue

um... is it supposed to be a turbo? LOL.. cause you've got a boost gauge.. so if it doesn't have a turbo, you have a problem...
they coulda replaced the cluster so that the odometer shows fewer miles than it actually has...

Good call Korndogg. It may be on because you have the wrong cluster. It all depends on how they wire it. It's possible that everything is fine and its just the cluster.

So Should I install a Turbo, if not will there be a problem and one more question, Does it drink lota gas after installaing the turbo.

Regards

Mansoor

Holy crap. If you want you can install a turbo. Big job. I would try and get it diagnosed first. Also, get the right cluster. See what happens. It's a lot think about. If you're gonna get a turbo, and can do the install - go for it. You'll need alot of things. It's your call. Good luck.

Hmm, I Should get it Checked First! YOu are Right, and be honest with you , i dont know anything about cars! .... and

yeah if its starting in 2-4 tries, after bieng idle for a long time, then what is it? the battery?

Thanks Anyway!

Battery will cause slow cranking. Does it take 2-4 tries to get it started? Also, if you can, take a good picture of the engine and post it. I'd like to see it. I'm looking in to the "Exhaust Light." I need to look at my car which isn't here right now. I'll get it tomorrow.

Just a thought. Are you sure it's a N/T? Maybe it is the correct cluster. Does the boost gauge move when you drive?

Hey !
Thanks alot for taking interest man!! Here is the picture mind that i know it looks ugly i am taking it for servcing today!!

and Boost Gauge doesn't move at all!

Well, I can't seem to find any info on that "Exhaust Light." That must be something in the non-USDM models because the two 1G's I own don't have that. It's a blank spot. Can you get a better picture of that light? It's really blurry in that photo above.
