car of friend has no oil pressure after he oil pressure after he installed a timing belt. Anyone know how to check the oil pump? Removal of it if it is bad? dsm cd has nothing on this problem:confused:

Check the sending unit first. Hopefully he has pressure, but the guage isnt getting it. It is on the oil filter housing farthest away from the filter.

Hope this helps.

he had someone put the timing belt on that has now mysteriosly moved. He didnt add a oil pump. When I heard it the valves wereknocking so hard that I couldnt believe him when I asked if the timing belt broke or he just replaced it. I will check the pressure at the sender and hope that the problem is there.
