what exactly are u trying to find out? there isnt really any way of knowing exactly what it is from that picture.

Looks to be a JDM Galant engine I believe. The valve cover and Cyclone give it away.

WAIT.........REALLY...YOU'RE KIDDING ME RIGHT??? I know my caps was on..How can you tell it's a galant vc?

Is there anything I can use in this head?(cams, camgears to paint,VC, , ETC) Idk if I want to take on the task of swapping the manifold on, and rigging it to work or not..What are the cams in this head (if it is a jdm galant motor), and are they the same as my 1g cams?

I'm not kidding, but I'm not 100% positive I'm correct.

I believe the JDM valve covers were the only ones to say Mitsubishi on the top instead of 16 Valve as the US ones did. They also typically have a right angle valve cover breather port, but this one looks to have been hacked off to be straight. Notice there's no "head" on the port as other ones typically have.

I believe the engine is a direct drop in, but again, I'd like someone to confirm this.

I wouldn't mind having one of those intakes though.

Now that you mention it, it looks to be hacked ya I see what your saying..I thought about putting the manifold on my 6 bolt, but after researching a lil bit, it doesn't look to be just a swap. You have to do something with a t25 actuator or sum like that to make it work without a keydriver chip..

Idk much about it someone who has seen this swap done please chime in...

I know you already have a 6 bolt manifold already.. But do you really want to take the time to do the swap??

There should be a place to attach a t-25 wastegate actuator on the side of the cyclone intake mani that you attach it, run a vacuum line to it then it opens the other half of the intake manifold to allow more top end.

Someone posted a guide on how to do it a few days ago with pictures, look around for it.

I did forget you had dsmlink.. Ohh and It's just the head Brian not the whole jdm galant engine..Only thing that's missing is the rail and injectors..I don't know when I'll pick this up, I am going over to look at it and take some more pics today so you guys can check them out..I should have them up tonight..I'll even take off the Vc, so we can see what the cams and so forth look like..

Still have yet to answer my question..The cams and such are standard galant evo1-2 cams right? which are the same part number as the 2g cams aren't they? Adding the cams will probly not see any performance past what my 1g head already has right? I might use the rollers and such to attach to the broken ones on my talon..

Ya I saw that writup on the swap, it doesnt look to hard, just tedious...

UPDATE:

I stopped by my buddys and took some pics of this head..If you look the vac nipple was hacked off and made straight, so Brian you were right..

Is this a jdm oil cap, or just one bought at a local auto parts store?
What numbers do I need to look for on the cams to decifer what they are? There is no scuffing on the cam lobes at all btw..You can't see in crappy pics..Head looked cleaner/newer or lower miles (wasn't oil stained)..A little bit I guess..

These pics are of the manifold, tb, and solonoid on the right side..The back of the manifold is painted red to match vc..

Looks like my revised oil cap, except with white lettering/logos (the one I was trying to find).

This deal keeps getting better
I put this post up last night. And already you have made both of the end of my day's great so far. In lamens terms...Everytime this guy has posted, he's made my day...Thanks Brian..:thumb:

Evo oil cap with white lettering you say..The one you actually wanted you say..I'm definatly not going to mess with you on this thread...:sneaky:;)

You just had to bring me down, didn't you? So it's not the evo 1-2 oil cap? Then what is it, just a stock jdm galant oil cap? Its definatly different from my 1g oil cap i'll tell u that..
