Car doesn't run right after valve cover replacement.
So here is the story, i was changing the old bolts of my valve cover. So i remove them, and as i was wrenching off the pvc, I crack the valve cover. I thought no problem ill continue.. .
i finish up wrenching the new bolts, and i go and start the car. It doesnt start! It sounds like the battery is dead, even though its only somewhat 5months old. So i'm thinking, maybe its the valve cover, since i crack it and the pcv does not screw all the way in, and its very loose (almost no contact). So i go to my local pick and pull, and i get a new valve cover. I drive home, take of the old one, install the new ones. Evrything looks good. I start her up. SAME PROBLEM! I check all the hoses, evrything is connected. This is when i start to give up and i close the hood. But i tell myself, lets give her one more chance.. than she starts! but.. she is running like sh2t. The engine is shaking like if there is a dog in there, and the car sounds like an old muscle car with some massive cams. I try to rev her up a little, and she stumbles. check engine light goes on for a minute than turns off.
what do you guys think?

Try a new ecu they arent to ard to find. I cant see how your valve cover stopped the motor from starting. If its stumbling check all your intake make sure thats all in snug.

Did you make sure your plugs and wires are happy after the VC replacement?

Does it attempt to crank over and doesn't start? If it keeps cranking, maybe check all you vacuum lines. I ran into that when I had the PCV Valve hose off for SeaFoam. If you're valve broke, that makes sense.

I had the same problem with my talon and took me 2 days to figure it out. I thought it was the ecu but it wasn't. look around this area circled inside the white.

you may have bumped the CAS out of whack check to see if theirs a clean spot where it used to be. are their any ground wires that you may have taken off and not replaced. check your plug wires on both the head and coil packs and check for spark on the plugs.
93 tsi, that is a sexy clean engine bay, very nice.

Check your injectors. make sure thay are plugged in all the way. Start the car up and move the injectors one by one. You might have bumped into the last one.
I have run into a lot of problems with my car. And this is one of them.

yes
I drove it around the block today. And from a stop to around 30mph.. she shakes like crazy, and ones a while, there is like a small bang. Like a mini explosion, and i cant pass 5lbs of boost (not that i was tryin to push it ) so after i came back home, the car was smoking! and oil everywhere. by the injectors, on the VC, ect. I replace the pvc, I have check for evry hose, their all good, injectors.
headgasket?

and i need to give it gas to be able to start it aswell, and when i drove it. it kill my gas like crazy, can it be a fuel problem?

One thing at a time. Where did the oil come from? I'm suspecting that your VC job was inadequate. How is your VC gasket and how tight did you make the VC bolts?
Your problem started right after you changed the VC, so chances are something you did caused the problem. I don't think you need to worry about fuel unless it's something you messed with but didn't mention. At this point I'm still thinking plugs and wires.

did you wash your motor after you installed your VC. Check for waters in you spark plugs.
Try changing your plugs and wires.

no i did not wash my motor at all, i did not do nothing to it. the oil looks like comming from the back of the engine, around the injectors. since there is like puddles around them. The gasket is a few months old. 26-36 pounds.
if its the plug and wires, how did they get damage?
the pvc looks like its strip/rounded. I try tightning it, and it spins. Im not so sure if it is the the inner threads of the vc where the pvc goes in, because this is my second pvc i had to purchase.

Go buy a new gasket from auto zone, its 30 dollars.
Don't tighten the valve cover bolts so tight, they should only be tightened down snug, no torquing
Check your CAS for movement, which is unlikely, since those bolts should be tight
Clean up the oil mess, thats whats making everything smoke, and make sure no oil got into your plugs.
Make sure your wires are snapped into place, and everything is snug.

You just said your problem right there man. All of this started after the VC job you did. If that's not tightening in because its stripped the you've got a big leak right there. Fix that first then go from there.

I believe the proper torque is about 6 pounds for the VC bolts. Not even as tight as you can get with a screwdriver. You probably cracked the valve cover again and are getting oil in or around the plug or wires, ruining them.

ah dang, on the manual it said 2630 lbs though.
What does CAS mean/.
do i need a new VC aswell??
