hello everyone my car is acting weird. this problem only seems to happen every 3 weeks. I will start the car then after i drive for about one minute. the car will lose power and just die. I will try to restart it and it won't restart. there however is no loss of electical power.

then the next day or after a couple of hoursl ater the car will start up just fine and run with no problem.

I know that i have a leaky head gasket and i need to replace the egr valve, but i don't think these problems would cause my car to behave the way it does.

I've taking it to my local mechanic and he has'nt been able to solve the problem. if anyone has ever had this problem or knows what causing it. i would appeciate some input.

I don't know for sure about 420a cars, but you might want to check the evap emissions/gas tank breather system or the fuel pressure regulator. If a line is clogged, pinched or blocked you could end up with your gas tank acting like a vacuum. Also check to see if the problem is accompanied by any other issues, like overheating or abnormal oil pressure.

As I'm sure you know, ignition requires fuel, air and spark. You say you have no electrical issues, so I'm leaning towards fuel delivery issues.

Thanks I'll get those things checked out. I did notice that when I first start the car. I hear liquid splashing around. could this be gas that is clogged in line or the gas tank?

Are there any leaks between the intake manifold and TB, or the intake manifold and head?
You said it's not electrical but did you check the alternator and/ or battery.
To me it also sounds like you're not getting enough fuel.
