Car is a 89 Turbo Colt with the 4g61t engine. It is basically a 90 turbo dsm.

The vehicle has spark, fuel, 155 across and will not start. I am playing with 3 ecus, the coolant temp sensor was changed. Still no dice. When turning over it sounds very healthy. I have played with the CAS.

Thanks in advance.

did u check your cam angle sensor

Is the engine in time? How did you verify that it had spark and fuel? Is the MAF in working order? If it has spark and fuel the CAS, or MAF are the only things I can think of that would cause it not to start.

Just because you can see the spark doesn't always mean it's getting enough spark to ignite the fuel. Double check that the coil pack is working within spec. I'm not sure on the procedure but any shop manual should tell you how. If that is okay I believe you can check the injectors and CAS in a similar way just to verify they are working properly. How do the boards on the ECUs look? Any signs of leaking caps or other damage? Also what about the MAF?

weird. a while back i had this kind of problem. it was with the CPS and CAS. they work together but im pretty sure they cut off fuel. double check the fuel. The CAS and the CPS are synched. thats my 0.02

The coils are 90 specific as are the ECU's. The wires are all pretty much the same but on 91-94 they end up in different places. When my ECU died and I replaced with a 91-94 I didn't know to swap anything out and the car would start but idled very bad and wouldn't move but it still started.

I wish my car would atleast stumble like that. It is becoming fusterating, might just put the damn thing up for sale.

Don't get rid of it!!! You'll get it figured out soon enough and then it'll be a blast! Don't give up!!

That's all I need to hear man, every day since Thursday has been like this. The day starts out confident and I end up wanting to light it on fire by night time.

I forgot to add, I believe all ECUs are fine. I looked at the traces and caps, all are good. When key is in ON position, the CEL lights up for ~5 sec then goes off.

My friend has a logger, I'm going to try that if he lets me.

Tell me about it! This has been the week from hell with my Talon. It all started off with me replaceing a t-bolt clamp to fix a boost leak. Next thing you know I'm running lean and the cars running like crap. Turned out my Alternator crapped out and took out my battery. After all that was replaced and the car was running again a rubber elbow on my j pipe blows out and I spend 100$ on parts from Slowboy just to replace it and the 2 T-bolts I broke from over tightening them. Now it's back up and running like a bastard and I'm happy again LOL!
