99 GSX M/T, pop then wont rev past 2k

So i'm pulling out into traffic on the phone, POP, it feels like i hit fuel cut then all of a sudden my car WILL NOT MOVE, the car wont rev past 2k, I can shift through all the gears but just can go past 2k. I can hear a louddd whine, very high pitched. Its real puttery and will die if I let off the throttle in neutral. Also seems to be running REALLY rich

Check all your piping to and from intercooler and make sure that they are not loose. I had this happen to a buddy of mine who has a 97 gsx and all it was, was the intercooler piping came loose.

Yeah, it sounds like you popped a pipe off completely. My Dejon FMIC kit does the same thing all the time with identical symptoms.
