Oil Pressure fluctuates at highway speeds

92 Talon TSI w/ 123,000 miles, automatic transmission.

At highway speeds (75mph using cruise control), my stock oil pressure gauge shows the oil pressure needle dropping low, then rising back up to "normal." It acts as usual in other driving conditions. When I check the oil, it is full on the dipstick.

There has been no change in the performance at all, just the needle going up and down.

This just started happening recently.

I'm a bit concerned because I have a couple of 1000 mile trips coming up and I don't want to get stuck someplace on the road.

Thanks

Mine is doing that too and I would like an answer. it also doesn't seem to be affecting the car in any way and it's fine during normal city driving.

i actually have had this problem too, this time its not the connector though. the oil is also fine. I may switch to a slightly thicker oil next change, but i think the gauge its self is going out. anyone else have a dead gauge, that occasionaly works?
