Does Ign-Module control the fuel prime?

I was reading other posts that have the same problem as my car, and people are pointing to the module. I have fuel (but the pump doesnt prime, it spins when I crank), I have spark, and I have compression.

I drove the car for only a few feet on saturday and it dies, and will not restart. Im not getting an injector pulse, nor is the fuel pump priming. I replaced the pump, and the problem is still there. I was thinking I had a bad MFI relay, but would the pump still spin when cranking if it was bad?

Ive read many posts saying that the Ignition Module controls the injectors (had similar problem with my 92 Z28, and it was the module), but Im left with wondering why the pump wont prime.

Ideas?

On a 2G the ECU drives the fuel pump via the FP relay. This is a little different than on a 1G where the FP relay is part of the MPI relay and the starter circuit primes the pump.

I haven't looked at the 2G code to see exactly what the ECU is looking for to turn the pump on but I'm pretty sure it need to see the signals from the Crank and/or Cam sender telling it that the engine it turning for it to activate the fuel pump.

When you first turn your key on, the pcm activates the fuel pump for 3 seconds to prime the system for starting. After that, the fuel pump kicks off until it sees a crank signal from your good old CAS. This is a protectionary device in that if you get into an accident the fuel pump quits working once there's no engine running. This and you have no spark. Check the engine fuse. That will do it also. I think it's a 30 amp fuse. The engine will crank but will not start if that fuse is blown.

Good Luck
