I cant figure it out...whenever i take off slowly from a dead stop..i hear a loud popping noise...or if i give it a decent amount of throttle i will hear a crunching popping noise which seems to be coming from somewhere in the middle of the engine bay. At first it was just a rubber on rubber kind of grinding noise but now its popping. I do believe that my motor mounts needed to be changed because of the violent motor shaking i usually had to deal with. My car has always felt like a spungy ride..bouncing back and forth violently. Could this be my motor mounts completely gone or did i possibly #### something else up? One other thing..i replaced my passanger side axle not more than 3000 miles ago and it has a tear in it..i have been driving around with that tear for like 500 miles..could this have something to do with this? Any help will be appreciated.

So this means that my 3000 mile axle is toast? What about my mounts..could that noise be related to that...i havnt checked them but my motor shakes back and forth so bad it is so annoying to drive.

Is there's alot of engine movement then I would look at your engine and transmission mounts also. The amount of flex may have possibly damaged the new axle.
