When you hear hoofbeats, think of horses instead of zebras.

Probably the alternator. However, it may have killed the battery on its way out. Be ready to replace both.

yeah thats what i was thinking but i could still run roll up my windows so im hoping the batery can still hold a charge

Check your cable terminal ends. I had this problem. I could also roll up my windows. I replaced the battery and the alternator and it didnt solve the problem, so I tried replacing the terminal ends just for the h*** of it and it worked!! Then I was a little mad because I had just wasted all of that money on a battery and alternator. Just a thought.

put new alternater in then batter termanel fused to the hood. like welded it self to it so i had to open it and it broke. got new termanels had to put them up side down and duck tape them waiting to lower battery. missing a chunk out of my hood LOL on the bottom so its ok ill try to get some good pics of it .

car runs great now 10x better then b4 no stalling no dimming no brake light nothing :thumb:

Congrats on getting the car fixed. I cannot stand when my car is down for something small and aggrevating like that. Terminals fused to the hood? That's different, I'm sure that was a scary event.

That's why you make sure your tiedown strap is on good and solid. Have a buddy who was running without one, heard a crackle any time he went over a bump, and a weird smell. Just noticed a few days ago that the underside of his hood has a number of nice arc-weld marks just over the positive battery terminal. :b
