I need help identifying this wire, basically I've been finishing up the bolt on upgrades to my eclipse, and found I had no power, all of the wires are properly connected except for two mystery wires stemming from the fuse relay box. I can't really figure out where they went I'm holding them in the first photo.. I DO get power when I hook them up with the positive battery terminal, shown in the second picture, however I got an error code on the radio, and I'm fairly sure that isn't where they are supposed to go, Battery is good and the circuit is obviously good if I can get some power. However with just the positive and negatiev terminals connected, I have no power whatsoever... I've studied the circuit diagrams in the service manual and it doesn't mention these wires anywhere, just depicts them, going absolutely no where. Without a ground symbol next to them. Also anyone know how to get rid of that error msg? All it says is error when I put the key in the ignition and turn it to the accessory position (I still haven't reattached the ground near the cat, I'm not sure if that'd affect the radio circuitry) I'm not sure if that's related to improperly connecting it to the positive battery terminal, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Tanks,
Tara

Double checked to make sure on mine also and they are both supposed to go to the positive battery terminal. As for the error code on the head unit I'm not real sure, I might be able to help you with that if you tell the code and head unit specs so I can find it. :thumb:

Yeah I was told the same by road race engineering, it's where I find most of the parts, they're supposed to bolt onto that little tightening nut I'm assuming on the terminal connector? As for the head unit I found out my stock infinity deck has a retarded anti theft system which basically needs to be reset every time the battery is disconnected, it may be written down in my owners manual, or I may have to go to the dealership to get it reset, which by the way if anyone else has this problem, the dealer should do for free.
Thanks again for your response.
