i took apart my ecu today the mpi relay was clicking on and off so i figured it was the ecu so i took it apart and one cap is leaking a little tiny bit. and it smells like fish but my question is their is a green looking chicklet looking thing mounted to the metal bracket you could say that is also burnt(the ends that go to the board are burnt) im getting another ecu i would like to know what this green chicklet is and what it does so i dont have to worry about blowing another ecu.

It too is a capacitor, they come in many shapes and sizes. Smaller ones like that are used to help clean up analog signals. Bigger capacitors are used to buffer voltage drops from high startup current draw applications.
