hey guys,

yesterday: finished the custom short route piping to my FMIC and turned the car on, idled fine.

today: decided to extend a pipe because the FMIC wasn't flush with the bumper. go the pipe welded and came home to make sure it fit properly. After fitment I bolted everything back together and now the car turns on immediately, but idle surges up to 2.5k, sputters, chokes, and then finally dies.

anyone know WTH happened? I'm thinking it may be a boost leak, but my bad luck says that metal scraps from the cutting/welding may have gotten into the intake track. so, assuming that little metal scraps got into the intake and head, what are the possibilites that i fubared my motor?

haha of course.

I figured it out. the throttle cable was stuck at 8% [ says the safc2 ] and one of the plugs [ i think ISC ] was undone. I took the TB out and gave it a one over and reinstalled it careful. now she's fine :)
