Ok..I found out my oilpressure gauge doesnt work and I wanna fix it. I know..I can install a aftermarket but I am selling the car and want top have it working as it should.

Now I know whats wrong and its the following:
In the gauge you have a small steel needle going from the gauge itself(behind the front)up/into to the needle showing on the frontside. This little metalpin has broke off and therefore the needle on the front wont move. Now I am wondering if I can replace the metal needle ? If not..can I get the oilpressure unit and replace it inside the cluster or do I need a complete set up of instruments?
Where can I find a replacement unit for the oilpressure? Its just the needle that broke off...

To clarify: Its not hte needle you look at that has broke off..its the metalpin that its attached to.

everu gauge inside the cluster is separate from each other..it must be able to buy just the prssure piece? Why change the whole thing when its separate from the rest??

you're right *IF* you can find one... that's going to be your hardest task is finding someone that wants to disassemble the whole cluster just for an oil pressure guage, most wrecking yards will only sell you the entire assembly.

True that while the specific bimetal, its heater, the needle, spindle, face and ancillary parts are separate, there is no DSM oil pressure gauge than can be removed (or, replaces) as a separate "part". The bits are mounted into the cluster in such a way that the rest of the cluster is a major part of the gauge.

If I picking the right one in CAPS the white pressure/boost gauge for a 99 is MR444055.

Replacing the whole cluster is the easiest route... otherwise I'd find a cluster that has something else wrong with it (speedo broke, tach broke, etc), and swap the oil pressure gauge with your broke one. It's not as difficult as it's made out to be, just time consuming.

You ...ah.... did a quick eBay search before posting that?

Didn't think so.

Also recommended is one of our sponsors, mitsubishigraveyard.

Nope, but I've been looking for guages on ebay for the last 3 weeks and only found 1 set and it was for a 1g... ended up getting mine from a local recycler...
