After changing the oil in my 95 gsx I started it up and it ran for like 5 min. and shut off. I have no spark or fuel so i bought a CAS and was about to put it on when i noticed that my balance shaft belt was broken. Would that cause any damage to my engine internally or should i just replace it and it will run again. Help please!

Depends on wether or not the broken belt hit your timing belt and caused it to skip.

I would put it on and try to start it.

Check your timing belt and line it up first, make sure it's set correctly, then go for it.

Yes, pull the valve cover first and make sure all your rockers are in place. If they are, Good! Take this chance to replace both the timing and balance belts. Line up all the marks and crank the engine by hand first to ensure no binding before cranking. Good luck. :thumb:
