Can't find the right crush washers [Merged 7-8] washer copper aluminum

Go to any mitsubishi dealer (or even a chrysler dealer if you feel like raising hell) and ask them for

MF660063 (head side of feed line on head)
MF660064 (turbo side of feed line for turbo)

A real hardware store or auto parts should have a box full of assorted sizes.

My Local Parts+ has one of those pretty plastic cases full of asst'd Std Size copper crush washers on their $10 rack. Though no metric

Have also noticed most of the chain auto parts stores are going to the pre-packaged assortments.. phasing out the "grab-box". Still very limited in metric sizes :thumbdown

Ok i've been to 3 different dealerships and none of them have the crush washers for the oil return line. I would have to wait a week before any could be in. I need to put on my new line tonight so I can drive my car out of town this weekend. I can't find them at a O'Reilys, Napa, or Advanced. They all have brake copper washers but all are like 14 mm. Where can i get them at and waht size will work for me? I hear ppl use electrical wire terminals but where do they get them and what size? for 12g, 10g, or 14g wire?
for 14b turbo return line
please help

TIA

i personally don't know exactly what size guage you are gonna be looking for, but i know some auto stores sell just the ring terminals like the ones you are looking seperately, so if you can take the bolt with you and try and match it up with what fits best.

If I remember correctly the only place I found them was the dealer, special ordered $2.50 each. :thumbdown This time around I'm going to see if I can get away with thread sealant and pack the bolt with rtv after tighten down.

well thanks for the replys but this is the way i had to end of doing it. I went to my local ace hardware and bought 4 copper flat washers. drilled the center out just barely a hair so they would go over the bolt. snug and not loose over the bolt. so then i just coated the 'mother' with copper RTV and hopefully that will work...so far no leaks but havent ran the car more than 10 miles... :thumb: anyways thanks for the help...the gaskets on before were a pain too..then trying to remount the oil line ....god...i will never buy a turbo car again...j/k

Those may work, but be aware that crush washers are annealed, while washers are hardened. You want the annealed (softened) washers next time. Ring terminals are suitably soft.

hey guys the idoit who put on my turbo beofre me ruined the crushwashers now the leak at both end of the oil suppy line. really bad about a qt every 1000 mi so i need to replace then bhut i dont have a stock turbo does that matter? could i just go to misti to get them? any response welcome thanks oh yea i have a evoIII 16 g in there

I dont think you should call anyone an idiot when you can string together three words in a row correctly spelled. But anyways, you can use the same size crush washers. Or go to Advance auto since tomorrow is sunday and they sell them also.

Good luck

Mike

Never re-use crush washers unless you like leaks..
and go to Advanced Auto don't even mess around with vendors having to ship them to you or going to a Mitsu dealer. They don't have them behind the counter and they aren't in the coolant/accessories area. The ones you want are going to be back where they have oil filters the ones they carry are for oil drain plugs and work just fine. Cost is about $1.99 for 3 I think, ( why three I have no idea so you will need two packs.)

I did a search but only found info on oil line crush washers. I need the correct size for the water lines. I'm piecing the install kit my self. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If my memory serves me correctly, dont the oil feed line and the water lines use the same size banjo bolt? If so, then they require 12 mm crush washers. If the water line banjo bolt is smaller than the feed line banjo bolt, then I believe it will require 10 mm crush washers.

BTW, props for not dropping $250 on some premade kit. You are going to learn more and save money by piecing it together yourself. :thumb:
