2g revs messed up

alright, i have this 2g who's rpms are way off. when the car is on, the rpm is at 0, and when i give it gas, the revs go all over the place. no engine codes, ignitors are good, and that's about all i could think of. maybe the ecu just went bad? help, please....

Your listed as having a '90 but you asked about a 2g. On a 2g turbo the ECU gets its tach pulses from the ignition power transistor unit. Perhaps a wire to/from it is loose and vibrates with the engine?
